The first requirement in becoming a Scottish Rite Mason is that you must be a Master Mason in a recognized Masonic Lodge. In New York, membership in any of our Lodges that are under the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of New York are recognized.

If you're already a Master Mason, you may wish to petition Scottish Rite membership to further expand and enhance your Masonic knowledge. You can download the application directly from this website.  We will help you find sponsorship if you do not know any active Scottish Rite Masons.  Please bring this application or mail it to the Scottish Rite Office on 23rd Street.

If you are not yet a Master Mason, please visit the Grand Lodge of New York website to find out more about how to join our fraternity. We are the oldest and largest fraternity in the world.

If you are a Master Mason and are a member of the Valley of New York City Scottish Rite and would like to volunteer and participate in any of the upcoming dramas, we would use your help. Please let the Secretary or Valley leadership know via email or in person at any of our meetings.
